Mixed Pulses

Mixed Pulses are fantastic high-protein, low fat food for parrots. They are very versatile and should be either soaked for 24 hours before feeding or boiled for an hour and then left to cool. Boiled pulses can be frozen for later use. Pulses can also be allowed to sprout and fed as green food, which is highly nutritious and palatable.

Composition: black eyed beans, blue peas, maple peas, yellow peas, chickpeas, mung beans and whole maize.

Suitable for: Amazons, Macaws, Poicephalus, Eclectus, Pionus, Cockatoos, African Greys, Caiques, Cockatiels, Large Conures, Small Conures, Large Macaws, Small Macaws, Meyer’s, Parakeets, Quakers, Senegals, Rosellas, and Galah.
